Upside Down Rejection

“He was despised and rejected— a Man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on Him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.” Isaiah 53:3  (NIV)

“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”  2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for turning rejection on its head. In taking our grief upon Yourself you broke through the wall between us and the Father. Restoring us to Him comes with the promise of restoring all things. Because of You even rejection holds no lasting power over us. It just serves to remind us of the Gift of being bought with the Price— the Price of Your rejection and betrayal.

Thank you for caring when we didn’t, and couldn’t. Thank you for turning Your eyes of compassion on our affliction. Only You perfect us in weakness. No one else can fully do this for us, being weak like us. But You can and do! We boast in the Power of  Your Love—greater than weakness, sin, rejection or death itself! Hallelujah!

In Jesus Name Forever
