“A ruler questioned Him, saying, ‘Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?’ And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments’… And he said, ‘All these things I have kept from my youth.’ When Jesus heard this, He said to him, ‘One thing you still lack; sell all that you possess and distribute it to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.’ But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich… They who heard it said, ‘Then who can be saved?’ But He said, ‘The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.’” Luke 18:18–27 (NASB)
Dear Jesus,
I think back on the times in my life I spent missing You. I had no idea Who You really were. I heard Your Name but it was just that, a name. I knew You died on the cross for the sins of the world but who was the world? Was I a part of that world? I didn’t feel like it.
Then I found out it was my world You died for; for everyone’s personal broken world. We were each one ransomed by a Loving, Willing Savior. It was very personal. That knowledge was the missing piece of the puzzle. You did it for me!
Thank you for giving what was missing in my life—a life! You have filled me with Yourself: Your peace, joy, and contentment, just to name a few. Jesus, You aren’t a missing Piece in my days anymore. Come to think of it, neither am I.
In Jesus Name Forever
In Jesus Name Forever! Amen.
