Dear Father, 

We come to You in a rush to start our task-filled days, our to-do lists in hand. We ask You to prosper what we deem important. Yet Jesus, You made a way for us to  call on the Father by Name and that changes everything! 

Let the truth of our place in Your heart shock our thinking, helping us to grasp all that this relationship entails. You are our Father and that should entirely alter the way we do life. Let our lists drop from our hands. Father, we place our times and all they contain in Your hands. 

You are the Ultimate Involved Dad. You know how to train us up into the very life of Christ. Your Fathering ways always lead to life, goodness and peace (Proverbs 22:6).

Father, Your plans are the only to-do list of this day that matters. We come asking, “How are we going to spend this day?” Let Your will be done in us; our own bit of heaven on earth. Done.
