“Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand toward the sky so that darkness spreads over Egypt—darkness that can be felt.’ So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and total darkness covered all Egypt for three days. No one could see anyone else or move about for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived.” Exodus 10:21-23 (NIV)
“Jesus said, ‘While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.’” John 5:9 (NIV)
Dear Light Giver,
You turned on the Light of belief in our dark, dead soul. We now stand like lighthouses strewn as stars across the face of the earth. You generate Light by Your own Person and will. You will not suffer a power failure and neither will we. Darkness may boast but You contain it like a bug in a jar.
We bask in the Light of Your freedom-giving Word! We soak in the rays of Your promises that create light in our minds, renew our strength, feed our faith, and kindle a glowing, growing trust in us from every page You wrote to us. Let the warmth and surety You meant for us to own, be owned, and lived, and loved!
Dispel the darkness of our fears with your dazzling light. When we are afraid, we will look at You and then wonder why, or how we could ever be afraid when we have Your Eternal Light! Darkness, you have utterly failed. I am His Lighthouse!
In Jesus Name Forever
