“For a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But GOD proved His Own Love for us in this: While we were Still sinners, Christ died for us.!” Romans 5:8 (NIV)
“Now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; but then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:12,13 (NIV)
Dear Savior,
I survey Your Wondrous Cross, on which my King of Glory died. I was there when they crucified You, Lord. I was yet to be born and was already cut off from You. You saw me in the future and pitied my helpless state. The power of Your love infused forgiveness raced through time and found me, lost as I was.
Thank you for not expecting me to clean myself up before You’d love me. I had already run that hope into the ground of ever deserving love from anyone, especially from You. And yet, You loved me at my worst. Yes, Wondrous Love!
Let me not grow weary as You renew my mind and transform my being to reflect the Love that saved me. When You point out failings in my life, it is because You are freeing me. Let me not grow faint but respond rightly as one who understands.
Let faith in You, hope in You, bring Your Living Love to my daily life. I want to have it to give it—freely. As I do, Your Image will grow in me more clearly, day by day! Hallelujah always.
