In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent His only Son into the world so that we might have life through Him. This is love: not that we have loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another.”   1st John 4:7-11

Dear God Who is Love, 

This is the cry of our heart: to be known and loved anyway. We tire of trying to find significance in the only thing humans can attain to– being nice. But even that cannot be had without the surety of the acceptance we long for. Insecurity is a bottomless pit and niceness is too short a rope to make it to the top. 

 But Jesus, You fill our void with Your fierce Love, stronger than death or grave. 

With such lavish love staring us in the face, we choose belief and leave insecurity to it’s pit. Your sacrifice is too great, Your Perfection too Wonderful, Your Love too embracing to live just a nice life. Let faith in You lead us out of the Realm of Nice and into a life with You! It is life that Your Love gives! And we are too occupied loving You back to be just nice.
