“The word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you…’
‘Alas, Sovereign Lord, I do not know how to speak; I am but a child.’
But the Lord said to me, ‘Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you … Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,’ declares the Lord.
Then the Lord reached out His hand and touched my mouth and said to me, ‘I have put MY words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you’” Jeremiah 1:4-9 (NIV)
Dear Creator,
You are our God. You wrote Your Word on our heart that it would be in our mouth. Out of our heart, our mouths speak (Luke 6:45). And though we are children, we are Your children! Touch our trembling hearts and they will be courageous. We will stir up the embers and fan the flame of the faith in Jesus that first gave us life eternal (1 Timothy 1:6). You stretched out Your hand to create us, to write Your word to us, and to bear our guilt on the cross. You are worthy of our devotion. We are humbled to be Your appointed ambassadors and overjoyed to be Your children. Let Your Word live in us this day.

Love this. Jeremiah had a hard message to give to hardened people, but God enabled him.
