“A man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and Martha… the sisters sent word to Jesus, ‘Lord, the one you love is sick.’
When He heard this, Jesus said, ‘This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.’ Now Jesus loved Martha, Mary and Lazarus…
Martha said to Jesus…’I Know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.’
Jesus said to her, ‘Your brother will rise again.’…
Martha answered, ‘I Know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.’
Jesus said to her, ‘I AM the Resurrection and the Life. The one who Believes in Me will Live, even though they die; and whoever Lives by Believing in Me will Never die. Do you believe this?’
Yes, Lord,” she replied, ‘I believe that YOU are the MESSIAH the SON OF GOD WHO is come into the world.’”
John 11:1-27 (NIV)
Dear Resurrection,
We ache over the trials that come to those we love. We ache over our own. We dream of a rescue for us all. Then we remember YOU HAVE RESCUED! We have Hope; a Person—YOU!
You are not a vain Hope but a Living Hope! You truly are the Son of God, come into the world to be our Resurrection and Life! We will look with spiritual eyes that see Your hand in all things.
Divine Savior, stir up our hope in All You Are! Let belief IN YOU live expansively in all who believe, trust and know You as their Risen King! You Live in and for us. If things are not yet right; they will be. Until they are, we bask in Hope’s promise —You will never leave us or forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5)
