“We are afflicted in every way, but NOT crushed; perplexed, but NOT driven to despair; persecuted, but NOT forsaken; struck down, but NOT destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the LIFE of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. Dear Sustaining Jesus, 

You said in this world we would have trouble but not to fear for You have overcome (John 16:33). Let us not get so weighed down by trouble that we forget our Overcomer– You are our victory. Even though we may feel fear or anxiety in these bodies of dust, our soul trusts in You, our Hope, our God, our Friend! 

Some day we will go the way of all the earth, but we will have lived out all the days You planned for us. We will live and see Your overcoming promises kept. Though mountains fall into the sea, no blossom appear or grape be upon the vine (Habakkuk 3:17,18)  we will see You. Trials will lift this veil from our eyes. We will walk by faith, not sight (2Corinthians 5:7) 

You are  the object of our faith. Even a mustard seed-size faith in You, is enough (Luke 17:6)  because You Are God! We don’t need to work up our emotions to stir Your heart towards us. We only need to lift our eyes to You, Saving Friend.

You will stand our mountain back on its feet. We will worship You from the heights and look down on the trouble that only served to drive us straight into Your Overcoming arms of Love!
