Dearest Jesus, 

You are ours, our own.

We cannot take it all in— how loved we are and Who it is that loves us! Your love keeps us even from the grave! Death cannot hold us down. Your Love is the pathway leading us ever upward, ever homeward. 

Truly You bear the seal of love for us in Your body; the scars on Your Person forever the reminder of Your great Love. Truly You seal us as Your own: pursued, bought and won! We bear the seal of Your indwelling Spirit. 

You make beauty from ashes. You take everything in life and use it for good. When it is dark, You are the Light. When life is falling apart, You are the Hope! In times most lonely, You quiet our soul, leading us to see Peace is a Person—You. 

O my Jesus, be more real to me than this false suitor called the world. I love you Who loved me first and loves me best. You are my Heaven Who came down so glory can fill my soul.
