“In fact, if Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God. What does Scripture say? ‘Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.’ Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.” Romans 4:2-5 (NIV)
“Then they asked Him, ‘What must we do to do the works God requires?’ Jesus answered, ‘The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.’”
John 6:28-29 (NIV)
Dear Dad,
We are drawn to whatever we see you doing. Just like Jesus, we only want to do what You are doing. That’s what Children of the Father are all about: they hang out with Dad. It’s the work we get to do. You are the Person we get to be with. All it requires is that we believe what You have said to us in the Book You wrote explicitly for us. And by believing, we come to know the Author of this Book, Our DAD! We want the Book! We want this Dad! We want to do the work our Dad is doing. We believe, help our unbelief, Dad, as we hold fast to Your hand and Your word. You’ve Got This!
In Jesus Name Forever
